I think it IS helpful to add the psyllium ... but that's me, and it's working very well. I have a terrible constipation problem anyway ... due to being sedentary and having to take a lot of pain meds. I take 4 caps psyllium everytime I drink the #2. Some recommend the powder instead. Caps are o.k. so long as you drink extra water after taking.
You know the water formula for you body don't you?
Take your weight in pounds and drink have that number in ounces of water. i.e. if weight =200lbs then you drink 100 ounces minimum. You can convert your number to pints or quarts. Some of us drink gallons ... and slosh
