You have taken an important step in going to a councelor about this. What you've been put through was horrendous! I pray that you know that nothing you've done is in any way wrong. My mom went through something similar. From talking to her I know that you must take things one day at a time. For her, turning towards Jesus was what kept her together as she learned to deal with her past. I don't know if you are strong in that area but I want to let you know that He is with you aiding you as you try to heal. You may nopt be able to tell it right now but God is holding you up as you seek ways to get past this. Perhaps the Footprints poem would be a good reminder that you are not in this alone. Try not to be discouraged, you have a lot of injured emotions to deal with ane that will take a great deal of time. Remember, just one breathe at a time the next breathe will take care of itself.
