Near Misses happen every day. I believe angels watch out over me. Yesterday I was on my way to make a presentation on the State Capital steps and I drove the wrong way down a street in front of the capital building and almost colided with traffic as two DPS troopers flashed their light on and allowed me to turn around. They pulled behind me and turned off to get my ticket and they just drove on past me. I would have missed a speech from my congressman and I would have missed my little speech presentation, after the congressman spoke, for a hundred or so young people. All I can say is that we can live in fear or trust that everything under heaven has a purpose. Start looking to see how many near misses you have each day and realize that the world maintains equalibrium and is usually on your side unless you or other people begin running in fear. In the animal kingdom, the young baby who is mot strong or fast enough to escape the predator is devoured.
I have been blessed my whole life with near misses and the few times I have really been zapped, I was probably missing dozen signs of impending disaster. I think we plan these events before we are born with full knowledge of the challenges we will face. The best thing to learn from near misses is to thank God for the earth being such a forgiving environment in which to live. When life turns tragic thank God for the ability to forget pain. My NDE has made it impossible to fear death...but I know angels or whatever you call angel have to put a lot of over-time to prevent my many near misses from becoming disasters.
