i believe the ketogenic diet is a cure for epilepsy for some people. my 18 yr old son has been on the diet for 19 months and had a 70% reduction in seizures and is off all aeds. it hasn't stopped all his seizures or cured him but there are a lot of people who have been on the diet for 2 yrs and then never had seizures again - therefor i would say they are cured.
the problem is that it's hard to find anyone to do the diet with adults. some people are trying atkins, which is similar in some ways but it is something you don't want to do on your own.
