Re: I can't believe it!

Hi,
I totally understand everything you are going through. I could have easily have written your post. My Body Odor just started about 5 years ago even though I've had severe halitosis as a child. After years of searching I was finally diagnosied with Trimethylaminuria (aka TMAU)--which can make one smell like rotten eggs, fecal matter, urine, garbage, ammonia, chemical, fish and a host of other things. You can be born with it or acquire a secondary form in adulthood. I was also diagnosed with excessive yeast (candida) in my intestines. Both of these seem to be the underlying factors in my odors but there could be more. Maybe you've already looked into these possibiities..if not they may be worth checking out. Just know that you are not alone. I share you frustration, humiliation, and pain. We deserve better.

Lorelle

PS...I'm far from odor free. I try to avoid foods that are bad for TMAU and candida but that leaves only a few foods to choose from. One thing I noticed is that the odor is worse around my cycle, when I'm stressed, and when I'm sexually active (something to do with the sex hormones and TMAU). I can't smell myself so I have to rely on the "kindness" of stranger and co-workers to let me know just how bad I smell.
