Re: Does anyone have VNS experience?
Hey Mirth...
I must have a little ESP..cuz I was thinkin' bout ya and was wonderin' when you were going to go for Your VNS? And Here ya were not too long ago either..LOL
Anyway, the answer to your question is Yes..my son's neurolo-gist told us anywhere up to six years. But we like I said, he has shown an improvement since the implant.
As far as Postictals go, since his last visit to the doctor they have decreased as far as how long they last.
He wants to get up, and go go go go..NOWHERE inparticular, just wants to get up, walk around {kinda like he's looking for something , ya know what I mean?} is that how they effect you as well?
It kills me , because he isn't verbal, and can't tell me what he wants, or how he's feeling. So He's leading me around {sometimes at 2-3 am} yelling his head off "Ba" " Ba" or "aay" "aay" I try so hard to figure out what he wants..but it's nothing inparticular. AND you're up for an hour or so..until he goes back to sleep.
Oh well..guess that why we come here...so that we can pass on our little lifes lessons , and help eachother along..
God Bless
Dee
