Hi Jeff, I am a mother of a ten yr old little boy who has had seizures since he was 4 months old. My son has the VNS and has had it now for two years. Although it has not totally stopped the seizures , they are less frequent. BUT we have also seen a change in the type seizures that he has too. Some are more intense than others...mostly he has head drop type. THEN once a week, he'll have a real good one. He hasn't had any complications or any side effects from it THANK GOD..!! But it can take some time before we see any real change from it. Good luck...God Bless Dee Tweet
