first off i don't know if your severe pms and adrenals are related. but as far as adrenals goes, no you shouldn't drink yerba mate. mate DOES have caffeine and other stimulants, don't believe the hype when they tell you it is caffeine free, i have seen the chemical analysis. not as much as coffee, but there is some there. i would personally recommend no stimulants at all if you want to cleanse and renew your adrenals, you need to give them a rest. and yes chocolate has caffeine. you don't necessarily have to give these things up for life, but if you want ot get serious about your adrenals then you need to quit them altogether for a while. oh yeah, ALL decaffeinated teas have at least some caffeine.

drink a great herbal tea mix. go to the health store, get some cheap herbs in bulk and start mixing. try this - peppermint, lemongrass, alfalfa, raspberry leaf, and nettles. put in a little honey and some raw milk, yummy!!

also planetary formulas has a chinese medicine based adrenal support formula that looks real good; i have used that company before and was satisfied. the rainbow light adrenal support herbal supplement has changed since the last time i took it, so i couldn't tell you if it works or not.

also herbs that support the kidneys like uva ursi are also important. remember, the adrenals sit on top of the kidneys, so if you want to heal your adrenals, you also have to heal your kidneys. look for a good herbal kidney cleanse, i bet Dr. Schulze has one.
