Re: How Old is too Old to get pregant??

I'm 37 and 4 months pregnant with my second child. My daughter is 4 years old, so I started my family a little later than some people. So far this pregnancy has been fine. Because of my age, my doctor wanted to do more testing for birth defects including amniocentitis. I declined and just went with blood workup called quad screening. I am going for the ultrasound in 3 days. The doctor is sending me to the hospital for a special ultrasound instead of doing it in his office. I noticed that the doctor was more pushy to do more testing because of my age but this is just what his training requires. I plan to go back to work after 4 weeks off and will breastfeed this baby like I did my daughter (breastfeed to age 2 years). A supportive husband and family and a commitment to being a mother again is all you need.
