hi! this is my first post to this site/forum! i'm SO glad i just happened to stumble upon it! :)
i also have eczema/contact dermatitis for the past few years and have been seeing a dermatologist for help. she has prescribed a topical treatment called clobetasol. i was allergic to many of the other meds. she'd given me, but this one seems to help. i notice the eczema acts up mainly at night or when the weather is hot and humid. i'll usually apply the med. to my hands or any other itchy/red area before bedtime. along with the prescription, i've found, what seems to be a tried & true, moisturizer - zim's crack cream! it's a natural oil and really seems to help keep my skin healthy. believe me, it's tough to find a good moisturizer when i'm allergic to most preservatives /perfumes! zim's can be usually be found either in the first aid aisle or lotion aisle at your local drug store.
