I have had exzema since I was a child. During that time, I have had it on various parts of my body. Currently, I also have it on my hands. As I am sure you know, you are not supposed to take hot showers, since it drys the skin out. Unfortunately, the only thing that gives me relief, so I don't itch and scratch, is to almost burn my hands with hot water, it feels so good. Currently, after I "burn" my hands, I put on a steroid creme, and that has provided some relief. In fact, one of the benefits of working out at my gym, the water in the shower got so hot, it was painful, I would come out of the shower all red, and I know it is bad for the condition, but it stopped the itching. Unfortunately, they no longer heat the water so hot, so it doesn't relieve the itching as well as before.
