Re: Laying it on a bit thick, are we....

You know what I find curious?

I don't know about the 2 gents on this list that oppose 'choice', however I have talked to people that are rabid about opposing abortion rights, but support wholeheartedly the wanton 'murder by bombing' of innocent women and children by the US military...

I don't get it and I doubt I ever will.

It is not OK to terminate a fetus where no life exists, but perfectly OK to kill children from from an F16.

What brings this to mind is that the US military is bombing the crap out of Falluja right this very moment. Already 700 civilians have been killed over the past 10 days and after this I expect you can add another 500 to the list.

I love it. The US 'liberates' Iraq, and they are so grateful they are turning on us, rebelling and killing our soldiers. Maybe they have a 'thing' about us occupying their land and killing their women and children....

Do you think?

Beside civilian deaths, the US managed to throw a million people out of work, it occupies and runs Iraq US style, with a puppet Iraqi council that has no power. In addition, the US has stood by as 1000% up swing murders and crime has taken place ... and security is non-existent ...

Here are a few salient points:

The streets are so dangerous, people can't go out at night.

Roving bands of Ali Babbas, (thieves) kidnap women and rape them, or kidnap children for ransom. Gunshot victims have gone from several a week in Baghdad under Saddam to hundreds now.

15,000 Iraqi civilians have been killed by US guns and bombs... and the Iraqis by and large now see the US as invaders and want them gone.

Most of the billions in Iraqi reconstruction money is going to US fat cat contractors, who are pilfering a large part of it.

The Iraqis still complain of spotty electric power, bad water, no security, no jobs and an oppressive US conqueror roving the streets kicking in doors, killing civilians and not protecting the Iraqi population against thugs, thieves and insurgents...

The police generally melt away when any trouble starts and many of the police are in fact insurgents in disguise.

and..... the civilians are being blown apart everyday by suicide bombers... and the US can't do squat about it, except sit in their bases. Because the moment they venture out of their bases, those grateful Iraqis blow them up too...

Kind of a mess, huh?

;0)
