My Daily Journal (Wednesday)
A Typical Day...
5:30 am My internal alarm clock goes off and my mind says “wake up”...but my body says “no way, Jose!” I lay in bed telling myself that I need a few minutes to organize my thoughts for the day and …back to sleep I go!
6:00 am Again, I awake, roll over, open one eye and look at the clock…I close my eye and lay there wondering…what day of the week is it anyway? Maybe if it’s Saturday I can sleep another hour…think, think – no it’s only Wednesday, so I drag my tired body out of bed and go downstairs to make a cup of coffee. (Still trying to give up this nasty habit – please pray for me!) While the coffee is brewing, I make my Superfood concoction and force it down, trying hard not to gag; straighten up the family room; put a load of laundry in the washer and gather up the DVD’s that need returned before noon to avoid late charges. Coffee is ready…I relax for 15 minutes for daily devotional and quiet time.
6:30 am Dry brush; hot shower (I tried the cold part – but the water here in Colorado is like ice even in the middle of summer!); get dressed;
Dr. Schulze Intestinal Formula#2, another load of wash, fold load taken out of dryer.
7:00 am Put on make-up; blow dry hair; (you gotta at least look like you feel good) straighten bathroom; make bed; take out the trash.
7:30 am Out the door for commute to work – pray; praise and worship CD’s.
8:00 am At work – I turn on my computer and peruse Curezone posts (I need more time – there is still so much more to learn); check daytimer and make mental note of daily appointments.
8:30 am – 5:00 pm Spreadsheets; jammed copiers; meetings; board reports; overflowing toilets; HVAC inspection;
Dr. Schulze Intestinal Formula #2; lunch (run to Whole Foods and grab a soup or salad and pick up something for dinner); check out posts on Curezone; return phone calls; network problems; missed deadlines; rescheduled appointments.
5:00 pm Leave work, commute home – pray, praise and worship CD’s; pick up grand-baby at baby sitters (wait…is tonight the night that I AM the baby sitter? Recheck day-timer.)
5:30 pm – 9:00 pm Arrive home; check the mail…all bills - depressing; listen to phone messages…has anyone seen the phone? I turn on the TV to catch the evening news…depressing – turn TV off. Make dinner;
Dr. Schulze Intestinal Formula #2; Drink Olive Oil/Lemon Juice/ACV/garlic and cilantro concotion, trying hard not to gag; feed baby; Wednesday night bible study group (or is this Grief Group Wednesday? – check day-timer again); return DVD that is now late; bathe, feed, rock and put baby to bed.
9:30 pm Dr. Schulze Intestinal Formulas #1 & 2; wash face; brush teeth; sesame oil body rub;
Epsom Salt bath; aromatherapy candles; baby is crying – get out of tub, get baby and rock baby back to sleep.
10:00 pm Get in bed; pick up bible to read, relax …pray.
10:15 pm My daughter arrives home from work and sits down on my bed to visit. My son emerges from hibernating in his room most of the evening talking with friends on instant messenger and sits down on my bed to visit too. It is late…I am really tired…I am dozing off and my head is nodding as they are talking….oh blasted, what am I agreeing to? I will have to do damage control tomorrow…
10:30 pm Turn out lights.
10:35 pm Turn lights back on write a note to myself - tomorrow increase Superfood and order Dr. Schulze brain formula!
