My brother Mike's diet plan

From Mike:

"Basically the diet is ovo-vegetarian. No Dairy, No Meat, No refined Sugar, No Refined Flour/Carbohydrates

Breakfast:
2Tbsn of Superfood by itself, I actually like the taste.

Oatmeal (uncooked Organic) soaked in unsweetened vanilla Westsoy Soy Milk and org. vanilla extract

1 oz of Walnuts and 1 Tbsn of freshly ground flax meal (both provide high Omega-3 EFA's)

Lots and Lots of Berries (unlimited) and maybe an apple or kiwi or grapefruit etc..

Cinnamon, Allspice, and Raw Wheat Germ 3Tbsn

Lunch: Huge - I mean really huge green salad (I eat about 1 pound raw green leafy vegetables a day)
(I belong to a co-op and order 6lbs of organic spring mix greens at $5 a pound as a member and I buy in bulk)
Add more vegetables Bell Pepper, Celery, Cucumbers, Carrots, Broccoli
Add Onions and Garlic and I like to use miso paste and Raw Red Wine Vinegar & Apple Cider V For a Dressing or I'll
use Avocado and Lime Juice with maybe a little tamari. I don't use refined oils. If I want Olive flavor I use olives not olive oil. I'll use organic salsas as dressings too. I top the HUGE Salad with 3 Tbsn Brewer's Yeast (Lewis Labs)
more Raw WheatGerm and maybe a tbsn of hemp seeds (more EFA's)

If I'm still hungry I'll have some fruit afterwards.

Dinner: Some kind of soupy Bean/Lentil concoction. I like to use a lot of garlic/onions/celery and lots of FRESH herbs
Parsley, Basil, Cilantro, Mint, Tarragon, Chervil, Oregano, Marjoram. I add more green vegetables like bok choy, cabbage, fennel, broccoli dill. I'll sometimes add fresh vegetable juices like tomato juice, carrot juice, beet juice, or I'll add tomato paste, various salsas, various spices like ginger, cayenne, thyme, coriander, cumin, black pepper, etc...I'll have roasted peppers or baked eggplant, lots and lots of mushrooms, love those shitakes and portobellos, cremini's etc.

I'll have two organic poached eggs where the yolk is still basically uncooked (like an over-easy egg without the added
oil.)
I'll make a big portion of the bean soup so that I only have to make a new batch once every 4 days.

If I want some bread then I'll have two slices of lightly toasted (it tastes better lightly toasted) Men's Bread by French Meadow Bakery (or Hemp bread by the same company, Women's Bread, however, sucks). It's whole grain, organic, high in protein and low in carbs and not loaded with lots of unnecessary chemical bullcrap.

Dessert: I'll have some frozen fruit whipped up into a smoothy (mostly low glycemic fruit with maybe a banana or date to sweeten
it up) If I haven't had too much fat already I'll add some nut butter and almonds to the smoothy. (The nut butter I make at home with my champion juicer in huge batches. They last for about 3 weeks each time I make it. My favorite nut
butter blend is blanched almonds, brazil nut, and blanched hazelnuts. Yum!)

It's late now I'll List my workout tomorrow.

Michael B. Mantz M.H."
