From the info that I have been able to obtain, very few cases of carpal tunnel are caused by the carpal tunnel itself. Find yourself a GOOD massage therapist who REALLY know what they are doing. The problem is usually caused by the muscles in you neck or shoulders or upper back tightening up and putting a pull on the nerves that go through the carpal tunnel. The pull shortens the tendons and they then rub against the carpal tunnel causing the pain. If the problem is corrected in the upper back, neck or whereever the problem REALLY lies, the pain and problem will go away. I have a friend who is a massage therapist and she can "cure" about 90% of the problems by loosening the correct muscles.
