I'm sorry that is wrong...
There is others on this board who will agree that senna, cascarda, burdock...to name a few...can and do cause dependency. I do not have bad eating habits. I eat avery healthy organic diet. I have done HUNDREDS of hours of research on this and I know what to do and what not ot do. Yes I excercise. All I drink is water. I never had a lazy bowel or any of these terrible problems until I used the IF #1. I used it because I became very interested in internal cleansing to heal my acne. After a month, in which I did release a lot, I weaned myself off of it. Only to find that I had NO peristaltis. I could feel that 'nothing was happening'. I became bloated, distended, and developed severe stubborn constipation...all problems that I NEVER had before using this product. I went to a GI specialist who did a colonoscopy. The results were that my colon had absolutely NO muscle tone. He said 'it is just laying there, limp, prolasped and without any muscle tone at all'...not to mention is was completely BLACK (another side effect of these types of formaulas). So, I am glad that you don't seem to have any problems with this formaula, but the risks of these herbs are very real and very serious. Oh, and the thought of staying on this product for years to 'awaken a sleepy bowel' is absurd! The longer you take a product like this, the more dependency and damage you cause. These people who have been on it for years, have been for a reason, because they can't go without it...not because they are waiting for the colon to 'awaken'!!! I think we all deserve a straight, thorough answer from Dr. Schultze...so IF I am wrong I can fully undertsand his reasonings.
