don't stop taking olive oil!! But otherwise coconut oil makes a great addition to dishes. Its quite difficult to melt (it won't just melt on food) but once melted it stays melted. What I do is melt it in a spoon/dish and then pour it onto whatever I want.

I've always wanted to use it topically but never plucked up the courage (it is a food after all!). How do you apply it? Do you just smear it on? Doesn't the skin get oily?
