well, this society isnt so familly orientated. What about parents sending thier kids off when they are 18 or older telling them that they are responsible for their own lives now. They get embarrassed to have adult children living at home. I am not saying that this is the case for all families but for a lot of them. We are taught to be "independant" from an early age, so why would people be shocked that we would put our kids in day care and parents in homes?
What about when we have children, some of our parents are wlling to take care of their grandchildren but a lot of time its a 'burden' on them. In other cultures the grandparents feel more responsibility for their grand children. Some places I have visited the parents could leave for the entire day without even worrying about their children because there is so much extended family there that the children are always taken care of and its such a normal thing to have your kid, maybe your sisters kid and even a neighbor kid hanging out at your house.
We actually train our children to throw us into a home, its really had to blame them. Tweet
