This is a sickening and common tale. I am sorry that this happened to your Dad's friend. I am glad that this story had a happy ending !

This is another reason why we all need to question any drug or combination of drugs prescribed.

I used to ask for the Physician's Desk Reference at the drug store before I would fill any prescription. I would sit there and read about the drugs. If I did not like what I read, I would just not fill the prescription. The drug stores all have these books. They will let you look at theirs, all you have to do is ask. Also, if you are on good terms with a doctor (gag, heave choke)...they may even give you a copy of their last year's PDR for free !!!

Now I just do not even go to the damn doctor. What for ? I just cannot find a thing that they have that I need any more.
