Yes that is correct you can do a regular acu session with needles in the ear,45 min and then they are taken out, you can also have the the tacks or seeds placed in ear to take home like tiny band aids in your ear that continually stimulate the point. If you have the seeds three days max then you change to the other ear. If your acupuncturist gives you tacks they may worry about infection so they tell u 24 hours usually that is all u can stand because they begin to ache.
