The best thorax stretching comes from breathing excercises and yoga. By inflating and deflating the lungs, you will stretch the connective tissues in the thorax, the diaphram all the way to the throat. Combining proper breathing with basic yoga postures, such as the "cat/cow" deepens the stretches.

You can do the breath excercises even if you don't want to do yoga. Google "anxiety breath excercise" and you'll find lots of helpful sites.
