I played outside as a child.
I wasn't allowed sugars and such, and no one had diet pop in the house either. However I have read in my research that ADD and ADHD is linked to heredity. Usually by that of one of the parents. When I looked back on my childhood, I see that my mother had fit that description to a "T". And that I had had it all of my life, drs didn't treat for it back in the 70's and 80's, so it ended up with many parents frustrated with their children in school, and the children being punished more for it.
