Arm symbolism

Antonio! (Ha!....my brother's best friend is West Indian and named Antonio....imagine his mother....with your best West Indian accent exclaiming, "Antonio's a lazy goat!")

I'm wondering if you, or anyone else, know of symbolism for the arm. I realize I've had two very fearful dreams about arms. One was this one, passing an arm, another a scary old lady with one arm was walking towards me...as she got closer I realized it was me!

I checked a couple of dream dictionaries (yuck) yesterday and they said the arm refers to strength, which doesn't really resonate for me somehow. Maybe ability, but not strength. Just curious.
