Re: Replace Epsoms
My first few flushes I used magnesium citrate powder. It's sort of chalky tasting, but much easier to get down than epsom. You may have to call around to a few places before you find it, many places don't carry it (or you could try the liquid mag citrate...all pharmacies carry that. I've never tried it in liquid, but if you search magnesium citrate, you'll find some posts of people who have).
The powder worked well for me. Epsom or mag citrate are both good laxatives, but I read somewhere here that epsom dilates the bile ducts and magnesium citrate doesn't?
Anyway, I didn't notice any difference with results between the two, but I usually use epsom now because it stops any nausea and pain that I get during the flush.
You've probably tried this already, but if I mix in some apple or grapefruit juice with the epsom I find it not too bad anymore....maybe I'm just getting used to the stuff!
