Re: Short leg and binge eating disorder
Hi
I'm in a similar situation. When I was little I had a scoliosis, which was cured unfortunately by orthopedic doctors and not by a chyropractor, now I'm not asymmetric anymore, but I had to wear a corset for 7 years, from the age of 11, which was kind of tough.
I also, like you, have problems of bingeing which seem to come out of the blue. My life is quite happy now, met my soulmate 5 years ago, had wonderful baby 2 years ago, problems from the past substantially solved thanks to psychotherapy and a lot of work on myself and meditation, i've been vegan for 9 years now, cleaned bowel, made fastings etc. No reason that I can see for all this mad drive for food, I can say I've studied the issue from every possible side, yet nothing. Until the birth of my son, I've been all and all in good shape thanks to iron discipline, but now that my centering is more often challenged by tantrums, sleepless nights and usual delicacies of matherhood I gained 35 kg. in two years, which is scary.
It is a curious and inspiring coincidence that, first time I visit this forum, I find your post, because I have just two days ago begun to think, the same way as you are, that my problem might be physical and connected with my birth.
Last year we took our son to a cranio-sacral specialist because he couldn't relax too well. The therapeut just put softly the hands on his neck, my baby felt something going on because he sobbed a bit, and voila', from then on he's been as relaxed as a lake. The therapeut explained that in a certain area of the neck there are 14 little muscles and if one of them, like in the case of my son, is tensed, it messes up all the rest, and this is big mess because that area is full of innervations. One of the typical consequences of this kind of mess is, listen to this, asymmetry! scoliosis!
So now I'm thinking to give it a try, but I have doubts. I didn't find anywhere "eating disorders" mentioned in the list of problems that can be treated with cranio-sacral, and while for babies it goes fast, for adults the treatment could require many sessions to show results. So the risk is to spend a lot of money for nothing. Here I would be very happy if Andreas can say something about it, maybe you know something more? I also couldn't agree more with what you said, Andreas, about possible reflexes from past lives. In my case, just a few months ago, while doing rebirthing I had a spontaneous regression in my last life, which I find reliable for many reasons. I saw myself dying on the street, in a village in Austria, in 1943, after an errand bullet, at the age of 8. As I was a boy in a small village in time of war, I must have been hungry sometimes, and that's another level of explanation.
Sorry if I've been long, hope so much both you and me find the way back to ourselves.
ciao, sofia
