I'm not sure what you mean when you say you want to eat animal proteins while you restore your fat digestion. Animal proteins are high in fat. They are probably the cause of your digestive misery.

Try nuts and seeds. They are relatively low in carbs and high in essential fatty acids and protein. An excellent complement to a diet of fruits and veggies.

Ground flax or soaked chia seeds are two excellent choices. Sesame seed paste, almond butter, toasted walnuts -- you have lots of options.

Most seeds and nuts are about 50% calories from fat. They should be eaten together with veggies, to help the body assimilate the beta carotene and other fat soluble vitamins. Dip carrot sticks in almond butter. Sprinkle ground flax on salads. Toasted walnuts with fruit salad. Blend sesame seed paste into veggie soup.

Just remember not to eat nuts or seeds on liver flushing days.
