They have identified 10 causes of tinnitus, and have 10 homeopathic remedies. It worked for me. The catch is that you have to know, or guess, or have a medical intuitive, check out which one is right (if any).

The most common type of ailment that they treat is type 4 (cochlear damage from loud noises). Their Type 7 is a possibility for high pitched noises as well. (involves the hypothalamus and pituitary). In addition to any of the others. They have a little blurb which is helpful, on the main page, about the types of noises and I found reading that, helpful in picking out the one for me. (of course, I also checked with a medical intuitive).
