I notice she's using a stainless steel thermos, I assume some of the metals leech in, but well... it's a tossup... not that many things that are portable for small portions of food that are "safe". I suppose if you take a cold lunch you can put the food on durable paper inside plastic, with the paper as a barrier to plastic. The thermos kichadi stuff IS a great idea huh?

By the way, saw some awesome japanese clay pots for many types of cooking today, you can boil, steam or stirfry on the stovetop, or put them in the oven, although the entire thing gets really hot so you can't touch it or you'll burn yourself. I had never heard of them before but now I'll have to think about getting one, they seemed reasonable priced. Attractive, too.
