So what happens if you don't have a normal schedule... does your "important sleep time" shift as well?

I am curious when the best time for "me" to sleep would be. My schedule is such that I get to bed around 4 AM, and get up around noon. How does this effect the important sleep times. Would it just shift? Is it most important to go to sleep a certain number of hours after your last meal, or to simply get to bed a certain amount of hours before you need to get up?

Thanks in advance for your reply...
