Re: Newbie here needs help
Wow, this sounds all too much like a friend of mine's symptoms. They built a new house, some siding blew off during a rain storm, didn't let it try properly b/f replacing and she, her husband, and her four sons were sick *overnight*. One day she was baking cookies, the next day they were all sick. I think if you look for "Regina" or "Scooter" you will find her story here on curezone.
She did *everything* under the sun...Gerson clinic, body/mind work, juice diets, all organic (for four boys!!!), mold test, environmental consulting for her home, fasting, liver cleanses....you name it, she bought it juiced it, baked it or flew there and did it. She narrowed it down to a gluten intolerance or celiac sprue, as it is called. The last I spoke to her, she was getting better on the "Breaking the Viscious Cycle" diet by Elaine Gottschall.
That diet promotes a considerable amount of meat, and almond flour as a substitute for gluten, and absolutely no grains or sugars (except Honey). I found the book interesting to read, since Gottschall explains the link between Poly- and disaccharides and mental health, as well as the way they can inhibit the digestion of nutrients. I don't follow the diet, per say, because I prefer not to eat that much meat.
I'm sure Andreas will offer you sound advice. I felt compelled to share this information, as your story sounded oh so familiar.
Also, you can do mold tests in your home. There are places to buy petri dishes that can be analyzed by a lab. The place I used to use is now closed (owner was too environmentally ill to keep doing consulting. But, if you search the web, you'll find a place. I think there is a woman in NC who also will come in and review your home, but I suspect it is expensive. The guy who is now out of business was $1500 for an on-site visit.
Keep us posted on how you're doing, and keep your spirits up. You are not alone in this.
I'm interested to hear what Andreas has to say as well.
With warm regards and a big cyber hug to you,
KarenMarie
