Tapeworms?

I have a few puppies that have tapeworms. They had been dewormed but I found out that didn't include tapeworms. I didn't know they had them until yesterday and I have been holding them alot. The vet told me that humans can't get tapeworms. Is that true?

BTW I'm doing parasite cleansing. I went to the herbal store and they told me to purchase Symmetry ParaCleanse. Now after doing some research it looks like I also need cloves to kill the eggs.
