Colonix Week 4: Progress. Musings.
Well i'm finishing up my 4th week of Colonix. Boy am I ever glad I'm doing this! But I certainly can't say it has been a breeze.
I'm seeing stuff every day now that I can say for sure is MP. I suspected it was before, but now it's more like the pictures. Stringy/fleshy, holds together & sometimes rubbery. Longish stringy pieces encasing chunks of UFOs. Almost every day now I feel twinges of mild cramping, which I LOVE, b/c it always means that in the next BM or two I'll see more MP. So I'm sure it happens when MP is pulled away from its hold in my intestines.
Yesterday I was quite nauseous for an hour or so (had to lie down at work) along with some cramping. Sure enough, this morning I saw the largest piece of MP yet. ***YES!*** I have a feeling I'll be seeing lots more. Go fiber, go!
When I say my experience hasn't been a breeze, I mean that I still have lots of cleansing symptoms. Days when I have lots of rumbling & gurgling, mild gas, and loose stools. Fatigue. Ups and downs. An occasional headache. BO for the first time in my life. That said, I've had no more severe gas episodes like the one I had that first week.
Progress
========
-- Much less back pain. I was diagnosed w/ Fibromyalgia 15+ yrs ago. I've lived w/ constant back pain, mostly in my upper back, and most highly concentrated btw my shoulder blades. A few things have helped (NUCCA chiropractor, exercise, stretches), but I've functioned for years by taking painkillers on a daily basis. Ibuprofin, Aleve, whatever. Just to function through my work day. (Yeah yeah yeah i know. BAD.) For the past year would take from 2-8 ibuprofin daily, and one or two Aleve. In one day. Since being on the cleanse, from the first week, I've had dramatically reduced pain. Wow. I still put those pills in my pocket every day b/c it's such a habit. But I forget they're there! Rarely need to take them. The pain is often still present, but at a level I can live with. Can't wait to do a liver cleanse. I'm sure this will help further.
-- I'm craving fewer sweets. I've eaten sweets or other carbs every evening for almost 3 yrs. (started doing this after i quit a heavy drinking habit.) The sweets were a substitute for the drinking i had done every night, and have fed what I'm sure is a bad case of candida. Anyhow I've noticed a big reduction in my cravings.
Musings

Frankly I don't understand the common experience many people have that their cleansing symptoms subside after a few days. Obviously it must hold true for many people. But I'm just puzzled by this. I mean, we "peel" away the junk little by little, newest first, gradually exposing the older junk. Slowly unveiling the oldest & supposedly more toxic stuff. (and more
parasites i would think) So wouldn't it hold true that cleansing symptoms would get gradually worse, until we are rid of the majority of MP &
parasites & toxins?... Just something I've been mulling over lately.
So... There ya go. Hope my experience helps someone/anyone.
