Anytime you use a fiber cleanser, no matter what brand, you will have unusually large bowel movements. Fiber comes in two forms, soluble and insoluble. The insoluble fiber goes right through your intestines sweeping away accumulated matter along the walls of the bowel, then exits in the bowel movements. A whole lot of what comes out is not mucoid plaque alone, but the fiber. Remember that psyllium will absorb up to 40x its dry weight in water. It becomes like a jellied mass that conforms to the shape of the colon, think of it as an intestinal jello mold. That mass will scrape away and carry out any mucoidal matter lining the colon, but most of what comes out is the fiber. As long as you continue to take the fiber you will have large BMs. Hopefully you will see them become lighter in color and have a less offensive odor as you become cleaner.

In all my years of colon cleansing I had only one release of what I am sure was mucoid plaque. It was a long hollow tube, very rubbery and with a distinct odor. In my case it was studded with worms-dozens of them. At the time I had done a nine day Master Cleanse (had to quit because I got very weak and sick) along with a Parastroy parasite cleanse and psyllium shakes. I only used the Bentonite one a day. I was also taking enzymes and a homeopathic parasite solution my Naturopath recommended. The first day it was almost three feet long. I lost five pounds when I passed it. The next day I had a single BM almost four feet long, the first part was more of the hollow, worm studded plaque, while the remainder was the spongy, gelled psyllium "rope".

To recap, large amount of fiber equals large BMs. Andreas Moritz once posted his concerns about long usage of psyllium possibly damaging the villi in the small intestine and hampering the absorption of nutrients. If that is true then using fiber based cleanses should not be done for weeks or months on end. It would be best to only do them a week or two at a time, then allow time for healing and rebuilding between cleanses. If there is still a constipation problem, then a magnesium based cleanse might be in order. However, I was very disappointed with the outcome of the cleanse I did.
