Re: Words of Wisdom And Some Questions

Hopinso,

That quote is SO true...what a shame we've almost "civilized ourselves to death"! :(

My husband and I have both done complete colon Schulze cleanses...I had no need to take IF#1, as I have 2-3 bowel movements daily. But I took one IF#1 capsule the first time I started the IF#2, just to make sure I didn't get clogged up...and had ELEVEN movements the next day. On the other hand, my husband normally had 5-6 weekly movements, and he took up to four IF #1 capsules to attain the standard 2-3 daily...when he started the IF #2, he continued taking 3-4 IF #2's daily...but now that's he finished a "cleanse and a half"...he rarely needs the IF #1 at all (unless he eats SADly).

But neither of us have experienced quite the same difficulty as you're having. I recommended the products to one of my mother's elderly friend that has bowel issues all of her life (and whose doctor wanted her to see a surgeon). She normally has/had bowel movements only a couple of times monthly. It took 5 IF #1's to get her going daily, and after two months, she's backed off to only 1/2 a capsule a day. No matter how hard I try, I can't convince her to even try the IF #2...because her doctor told her "the walls of her intestines were too thin & convoluted to take fiber products and that she might 'explode' her colon and end up dead"...but yet he'd recommended Metamucil in the past...duh. The lil' lady weighs like a 110 pounds, and her stomach looks like she's 7 months pregnant (and has for the thirty years I've known her), so it's obvious how much mucoid plaque she's toting around...but at least she's having several daily bowel movements - for the first time in her life.

Dr. Schulze himself had bowel movements only once weekly for all of his life before he started into natural healing. I think he said it took a couple of years for him to be completely regulated...so don't get discouraged (whether you use Schulzes products or something else).

My thought is that if you HAVE suffered from nerve damage that is affecting your colon, it's probably not permanent and probably IS something that your body can heal. That being the case, I apply the logic of other forms of therapy for other forms of nerve damage. When someone experience temporary paralysis, coma, or any other such dis-ease, if there's ANY hope for a cure (or even if there's not yet), the person really should do lots of exercise to keep their tissues, ligaments and musculature in working order...so that when the nerve damage dissipates, the affected area will be able to function normally again. After reading and researching the ingredients & action of Dr. Schulze s products, I feel that's what his intent is. By using the herbal laxative that causes your peristalic action to continue to squeeze and work itself several times daily, the intestines remain toned and strong (even if they're not doing the squeezing all by themselves)...hence when whatever damage (or build up of muocoid plaque) is gone, the colon will have the strength and tone to again function normally. That's why I don't like the sound of Oxypowder or similar cleanses...they may dissolve the junk, but that's not a true healing to me.

I lost eight pounds with the first cleanse, and 5 pounds when I did the second a few weeks later...and although neither of us got out any long 'ropes', we both saw plenty of chunks of very dark, rubbery plaque. But neither of us "feels" as if we're finished...we both sense that we didn't get it all out, so we'll both be doing a weeks worth again soon.

In case you didn't know it, you can get the IF #2 in capsule form from Southern Botanicals; we've never tried the powder mixed with water. I've had one person tell me (that tried both) that she thought the powder was a bit more effective than the capsules...but she wasn't sure.

If you haven't already read it, I think you'll get a LOT of information and encourage ment from Dr. Schulze s Bowel Newsletter...it's full of "worst case scenarios", tons of testimonies & experiences, and great insight. You can find it here:

Dr. Richard Schulze 's March 2001 Bowel Newsletter

I hope this gives you some encouragement and food for thought. Knowing your intelligence and tenacity, coupled with the time-tested Schultz products, I'm almost sure you'll end up the victor!!

Blessings,

Unyquity

P.S. I just saw the post above mine concerning MH's Lower Bowel Balance...I just posted about that a few days ago here //www.curezone.org/forums/m.asp?f=329&i=12297
Check it out if you have the time. Schulzes IF #1, Christopher's AND MH's are virtually the same formula...and that says a LOT. If those three come up with basically the same ingredients, you can bet a cure is in store!!
