stool color and bacteria

What role does your bowel flora play in the color of your stool? I believe I have a severe candida infection (yes, infection, it's well past 'overgrowth' when it runs through your chest cavity). My stool is consistently pale and usually has a green tint. Sometimes it's a little more brown than green but it's never a dark brown like I remember when I was healthy.

Does your bowel flora turn stool dark brown? Am I lacking in it, and now my stool is poorly formed, poorly digested, and pale because I don't have the flora needed to help this final part of my digestion? Any links on this specifically are appreciated.
