I can't take psyllium, and it doesn't work for me anyway, unfortunately. Nor does Bentonite. I tried both years ago
and had nothing but problems (yes, even when drinking enough
water). As you can see, I am quite the problem case. :-(

I have a question about your post...

You say the x-ray had showed no obstruction, yet the mucoid
plaque DID obstruct...? How did you determine it was the
mucoid plaque causing an obstruction? Via x-ray or just by
what came out of you after you cleansed? Just curious...

I have not gone to the hospital yet today. Turns out, I have
an appointment with the gastroenterologist Wednesday (ugh)--
that's the soonest I could get in. I have ordered Oxypowder ,
which should arrive that day, and hope the doctor will think
it's safe enough for me to try before he gives me another
concoction to drink.

As an aside... It irks me that the doctor didn't think this warranted an emergency and would see me sooner. I'd like to
see him walk around with no BM for 6 weeks. :-(
