Re: Alternative Health Education in Canada

Hello Nancy,
I'm the director of the Global Insitute For Alternative Medicine (see: www.gifam.org). We have many students from the US and Canada. We find, that most of our graduates end up in their own private practice. You are correct in saying that nothing is built in stone and I believe that as an alternative health practitioner it is very important to keep up with the latest developments. At the same time, you need a strong foundation to build on and the fundamental basis of holistic health will always remain the same:
1) Eat wholesome healthy foods in natural states whenever possible
2) Stay away from harmful chemicals
3) Detoxify your body on a regular basis
4) Use natural medicine as much as possible to assist the body in healing itself
5) Exercise and get fresh air each day
These may seem like simple things but you'd be surprised how little most people know about truly living a healthy life. Please feel free to contact me directly if I can be of further help. You may also wish to visit our website where you'll find lots of information and some great articles. www.gifam.org
All the best!
