Re: Peace is Patriotic

It's all a matter of perspective. Some would say we have already plunged into the darkness, that we are surrounded by the violence of greed and despair, and that the war is upon us now. If were of a higher consciousness, I would say violence is deplorable - but we are not - we are a violent species. We live on a violent planet. The nature of our existence requires that we be violent to survive. We are breeding like a plague across the planet and until we put the brakes on, until we recognize our place here and begin to seek balance with our surroundings, we will have to fight to survive. Of course, I'm not saying it's cool to be a punk walking down the street, deliberately bumping into people, trying to knock them over because they're "regular" and deserve it - any sort of deliberately inflicted suffering on another can debase one's essence - it's just unfortunate that the wake up calls are not going to be in the form of peaceful raised levels of awareness - they are more likely to be rude, violent awakenings forced upon us all via necessity, because, for most humans, only in the darkest hour will they even begin to perceive the faintest glimmer of light.... Nonetheless, seek to fulfill your rolê by being the "Menace of the Darkest Hour" (El Peligro Del Ultima Hora) so that when the darkest hour is upon us, we will threaten it with our light, a light that will be seen by many because it will be so dark.....
