Re: I agree
Sadly, Christians who speak about their beliefs are also the most scrutinzed. People who are not christian will look very closely and try to see if their is anything different...anything light...anything that is worth chunking their disbelief aside for to believe in what the christian is shouting about. That is where we have to be very careful in these forums. It is so easy to blast someone because you can't see them. You can sit there behind your computer and be bold and say what you want to without thinking about the implications of it.
It is one thing for me to say Jesus is Lord and not budge. Anyone can call me a troll and a moron and all those things but I don't have to budge about that but for me to engage in a battle about why I am right and he is wrong over anything pertaining to my beliefs can lead to being a very poor witness. Of course we are only human and just because we are Christians does not wipe away our personalities and those things we came with before we saw the truth of what we believe. But it is important that we check ourselves and see what we are displaying. Are we displaying unshakable faith or wrath.
I feel sad too when someone is horrified over what a christian says or does or acts and says "They are suppose to be a christian" because it says that they know what a christian is suppose to follow and be like. That lady who is rude to your son may have her reasons for being unkind but it certainly doesn't make it right. We all know that we recognize each other by 'fruit' and either it shows or it doesn't. Claiming it to be so doesn't necessarily mean the person is. We all know that too.
