Hawthorne berry syrup

A mold has grown over the top of it. If this were a jam I would merely scrap the mold off and continue. This occurred during the soak phase of the berries. It has been so hot here I just couldn't bear heating it up. So Tom can I just scrap the mold off?
I can't tell you what a blessing this site has been, and others as well.
Is mold a problem with the tinctures? I can't imagine Vodka getting moldy. But now I'm a bit worried.
I was outbid on e-bay for the books and tapes. I'd rather purchase them from Sam Biser. The bid was $350.00 So I got out of that one. If I'm paying $350.00 I might as well be sure I'm getting what I am paying for. Why would I not want Sam and Schulze to make a living........Thank you for your in put all of you.......Carla
