I think the powdered greens things are pretty good, keep taking them. But at the same time, it's not alive, and we need the enzymes, so I think just choke down the real thing! (aka, do both) You can't get too much. I personally don't really like salad but I make myself eat lettuce pretty much every day just because it's good for me and I feel SO much better when I eat it. For me, I generally just eat the lettuce straight, no dressing. And if I overindulge or eat something junky, then no matter how full I am, I make sure to eat some lettuce after that, to help compensate. I guess it's partly a mental trick but I really do feel better.
