Re: Thanks

Oh noooooo...I'm so sad to hear of your choice. If you start to get unusually sad or having bad thoughts PLEASE STOP THE ACCUTANE! Another really easy, inexpensive thing to try is to mash up about 3-5 cloves of garlic and add a little water, then spread it on your face, especially where the problem is. It will burn a little bit but not intolerably. Then apply the clay mask. Leave the clay on until it dries and then rinse it off in the shower. The whole process takes about 20 minutes! Do this every day faithfully. I don't know what overnight face mask you are referring to, but I only leave mine on for 20 minutes. And drink/eat the garlic. Raw garlic has great anti-fungal, anti-septic benefits. I also read that rubbing fresh lemon on your face every morning helps get rid of redness and scars, but I have not had the opportunity to try this. By the way, garlic costs pennies and the white Kaolin clay is about $3.00 a pound and it lasts a long time...is that cheaper than Accutane??

As for the cleanses, Dr. Clark says that the herbal cleanses in her book/website are safe to do during any pharmaceutical regimen. And she is recommending them to cancer patients, so I am sure it is okay to do with Accutane.

P.S. I like to drink and party as much as any college student! In fact, my country produces the BEST beer in the world and I can't resist it! That is not a good reason to use pharmaceuticals...in fact it's a really good reason to avoid them! You know as well as I do, unless you are really ready to totally quit drinking, you will drink regardless of the Accutane and that is a recipe for disaster. If your doctor knows that you are a drinker and recommends you take Accutane, she should be slapped in the face! Please be careful!

P.P.S. I have had bad Acne for 20 years (ugh, I can't believe I'm this old!) The things that I have discovered on this website and through Dr. Clark's work are the only things that have helped me and you have no idea of the agony I have been through (I am painfully vain!)and the money I have spent on products that were supposed to help and only made my situation worse. And OF COURSE a medical doctor is not going to encourage you to use natural therapies...that is like asking a plumber if he thinks you should just get a book on plumbing and fix your sink by yourself! It will put him out of work!

Buene Suerte!
JoAnn
