my story and possible healthful hints : ))
Hi Marylynn,
I forgot to mention that lemon juice has a lot of anti-oxidants. This is evidenced in the fact that I have found that the lemon juice reduces the swelling in my lymph nodes under my chin. When my allergies (eventually MCS) really began to get worse, the swelling was one of the first things I noticed!
I never noticed if my reactions are worse around PMS. My periods are so irregular it would be difficult to notice. What do you notice that is different around your cycle. Perhaps you have some hormonal imbalances. What do you think?
It is so coincidental that you should say the answers are inside us because I have been saying lately that we need to listen to our inner selves. Meditation is definitely helping my symptoms. It is releasing a lot of old emotional wounds. It is great to keep a journal as well. In addition I will be attending counselling sessions in a few weeks. What a release! Whew!! It feels good! : )) In the past, I was one of those people who thought I could handle everything and everyone's problems! Heavens, I was under a lot of stress/pressure and didn't admit or know it!
If I may ask, how did you "get" MCS. There were plenty of enviromental toxins that gave me MCS. Heavens, the last place I worked was an old, old, musty building with no ventilation (high use of chemical cleaners, printers, photocopiers...). That having been said, I have systemic candida coupled with emotional issues. I did not want to believe that emotional issues played such a large part in my health decline. But, they do! I believe e/issues are toxic. My logic is that if they are on the inside, they are creating a toxic environment from the inside.
Just to let you know, various supplements such as lots of Vit A help with reactions. Also if you have problems with candida or leaky gut let me know. I have some directions to help with them. Also there is the
Candida Forum . Apparently, many people with illnesses such as MCS,
Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome and fibromyagia are prone to leaky gut syndrome whereby it is difficult for them to absorb nutrients and vitamins properly and therefore difficult to fend off toxins. Many with candida have low magnesium and difficulty with low enzymes (low digestive enzymes == problems with the gut!).
Sorry to drone on, but when I find things that may help people I love to pass it along as I most definitely know how it feels! Also, many others in these forums have helped me with their wonderful healthful hints!
Please Take Care,
Alex
