I believe exactly what you say about death and that we enter this life to learn lessons. I died once and left my body and had a conversation with God. God asked me if I had learned enough about love. I am certain that I am here back in my body to learn those lessons. As soon as we finish the lesson or lessons we come here to learn then death is the way we return to where we came from to give our report to God or whatever you call God. I can say that there was no suffering in my death and the only thing I can say about the experience that could justify the experience in words would be unimaginable joy; "There is no sting in death; we travel from life to life."
