That is a heavy accusation (2Tim 3:5), he could cause him and his family more harm than good. The scriptural way would be to say "God is leading me in a different direction" and leave it at that. Accusations against church leaders, policy and/or ministry is very dangerous ground. But maybe he has a hidden motive you are not aware of. Personally I would "stand back and see the Glory of The Lord".
