Turn from evil and do good,
and you will live in the land forever.

For the LORD loves justice,
and he will never abandon the godly.
He will keep them safe forever,
but the children of the wicked will perish.

The godly will inherit the land
and will live there forever.
It is interesting, to try to understand. A good thing to do, especially when trying to understand a passage is research the greek and hebrew meaning.
Perhaps it means the land on earth will belong to the godly generations, forever. Not one single person but as a group passed down through generations. Perhaps the psalmist is referring to Isreal?
It could mean a whole host of things....
