Re: Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Someone emailed me directly about this, and I accidentally deleted the email before replying, but I just wanted to say that I agree with her and believe that the only way to prepare for the end times is to just be close to the Lord and have ears to hear truth.
I don't think that there is a particular geographical location to run to, and no way to prepare enough with water, foodstuffs, etc.
It's good to take all those things into consideration, and to prepare to the best of our ability with what we have. BUT, the most important thing is to know the Word, to be obedient to the Word, and live in under the protective wing of the Lord (Psalm 91).
The safest place to be is in His will!
A minister once said something that I will remember always, that you can't have a harvest until you plant a seed. You can't expect to have faith in a crisis, if you haven't already been planting seeds of faith.
In other words, the scripture says that we must have FAITH AS A SEED. It is a process to know Him and His Word...to have His Word tested in our lives. It's not microwave magic. As it says in Mark 4:28 ====For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
Matthew 17:20
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Luke 17:6
And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
Mark 4
23If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
24And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
25For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.
26And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
27And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
28For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
29But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
So, in order to keep our head when all the world is losing theirs, and in order to keep from being deceived by cunning and false shepherds, we need to be in the Word NOW and be growing in faith, love and all the fruit of the Spirit. We just cannot put off until tomorrow what obedience requires today. We need to know Him and know HIS WAYS!
Then,,,we will not fear what man can do to us!
