regular dentists don't know the periodontal ligament needs to come out. they don't understand it has no life force any longer and breaks down and decays. that is why. it's the same mentality that makes them think root canals are ok and have no infection. all root canals are infected. dentists simply do not have the training to properly clean a root canal even if they pull the tooth. it is not liability. it is ignorance and lack of training. biologic dentists are trained differently. if regular dentists would take out the ligament when they pull teeth, we would not see many cavitations. but we see a lot. they just have no clue. some dentists will lie to u and say they removed it, just to keep u happy. be cautious.
some cracks show up on x-ray and some do not. i don't know what he means by fuzzy. i don't trust anyone who puts in root canals in the first place. if you wanted to, you could go to an eye ear nose and throat dr or a facial reconstruction surgeon and get a cat scan of your jaws, the kind with the tiny high density pics. that would tell you if there is any difference in bone density. but, the root canals will eat your bone.
