Re: What symptoms did YOU have after root canal treatment?
Thanks Torri,
I think I am going to go ahead and get this tooth out. It's my upper tooth #4. Aside from the probability of it being anaerobic bacteria, is it possible that the intense drilling at the time of the
root canal may have injured/fractured the tooth or surrounding bone? Would xrays show this? If you read my other post, I had mentioned that the endodontist said that a small area of bone near my
root canal looked "fuzzy" and darker and to have it checked every year to see if it changes. That really freaks me out. What are your thoughts on that?
Do I need to go to an oral surgeon or can a regular dentist do the extraction? Why do so many dentists extract teeth without taking the ligament with it and scraping out the infection? I'm assuming it's liability or something since it's more invasive and not the traditional dental treatment. I don't know how to go about persuading a dentist/surgeon to do something they don't normally do, but I want to have it done.
Whew. That was alot of questions, sorry. I hope to hear back from you when you have time.
Thanks
