Re: To Cyrulis
Cyrulis,
You started this thread by sharing your concerns about Benny Hinn. In light of Scripture, it's obvious that Benny Hinn is a false teacher.

It's obvious Benny wants some sort of an association with the Vatican. And evidently, the Vatican also wants some sort of association with Benny. On his website, Benny is playing up his relationship with the Vatican. He was invited by the Vatican to participate in a private mass for John Paul II at St. Peter's Basilica. Those kinds of invitations are not easy to get. The mass was said for the 'repose' of John Paul's soul--in other words, it was offered to shorten his stay in the place they call 'purgatory'.
This is an association with the Vatican. Check out this link from Benny's site:

Note the photo of Benny to the bottom left of the article. He 'almost' looks like a priest, dressed in black with a specific catholic clergy style collar, which he often wears.
If the papacy and Benny Hinn have nothing in common, why would the Vatican want Benny Hinn at the Vatican for a very exclusive private mass for John Paul II, and why would Benny want to be there?
In contrast to Benny Hinn, I don't think Al Mohler received an invitiation to John Paul's funeral, and I doubt he would have attended if he did. As an evangelical Christian, Al Mohler credited John Paul for his good works, but he still took a firm Biblical stand to oppose the unbiblical teachings of the papacy.
